A CNAME (or Canonical Name) allows you to point one domain or subdomain to another domain name. This means that you can update one A Record whenever you make a change, regardless of how many Host Records need to resolve to that IP address.

To add CNAME to your hosting provider, NameCheap, please follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your NameCheap account here.

2. On the left-hand panel, click Domain List.

3. Locate the domain you want to map to MySignture and click Manage.

4. Go to the Advanced DNS tab.

5. In the Host Records section, click Add new record.

6. From the Type drop-down list, choose CNAME Record.

7. In the Host field, type the following information:

  • www, if you're using a root domain (e.g., www.mydomain.com);

  • Your subdomain name.

8. In the Value field, type cname.mysignature.io.

8. Click Save all changes to update your DNS records.

Note: Your changes may take up to 48 hours to go live.

You can also follow the detailed guide from NameCheap here.

If you've followed these steps and are still having trouble with your custom domain, please take a screenshot of your current DNS setup and the CNAME record setup and email it to our Support Team via live chat or at [email protected]. We will gladly help!
