A CNAME (or Canonical Name) allows you to point one domain or subdomain to another domain name. This means that you can update one A Record whenever you make a change, regardless of how many Host Records need to resolve to that IP address.

To add CNAME to your hosting provider, Hostinger, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Hostinger here.

2. Go to the Domains section.

3. Choose DNS records to reach the DNS zone management.

4. Enter the details for your new CNAME record, such as:

  • Type (select CNAME)

  • Name (the hostname or prefix of the record, without the domain name, such as blog or shop)

  • Target/Points to (add cname.mysignature.io - exactly as written)

  • TTL/time to live (specify how long the data package will be stored in the memory. If you haven't received specific TTL requirements from the service where you want to point your domain, you can use the default TTL value of 14400 seconds (four hours).

5. Click on Add Record.

Note: After making any changes to your CNAME records, it may take up to 24 hours for them to propagate fully.

You can also follow this detailed guide from Hostinger here.

If you've followed these steps and are still having trouble with your custom domain, please take a screenshot of your current DNS setup and the CNAME record setup and email it to our Support Team via live chat or at [email protected]. We will gladly help!
