A CNAME (or Canonical Name) allows you to point one domain or subdomain to another domain name. This means that you can update one A Record whenever you make a change, regardless of how many Host Records need to resolve to that IP address.

To add a CNAME to your hosting provider, Bluehost, please follow these steps:

1. Log into your Bluehost Hosting Account here.

2. For Legacy: Select the DNS Zone Editor icon in the Domains section.
For Rock: Click the Domains tab from the side navigation menu, then select the Zone Editor option.

3. Select the domain you're modifying from the drop-down box.

4. Scroll down to the heading named Add DNS Record.

5. In the Host Record field, enter the following information:

  • Name

  • TTL/time to live (leave it's default setting)

  • Type (select CNAME)

  • Points To (add cname.mysignature.io - exactly as written)

6. Click on the Add Record button to create the record.

You can also follow this detailed guide from Bluehost here.

If you've followed these steps and are still having trouble with your custom domain, please take a screenshot of your current DNS setup and the CNAME record setup and email it to our Support Team via live chat or at [email protected]. We will gladly help!
