How to activate the Email Tracker feature for Gmail?

MySignature Email Tracker is a feature that allows you to track the opens and clicks of your emails in Gmail. To ensure that you get the best results from the Email Tracker, make sure that you have a ProPlus or Professional plan, and that it is fully activated and set up correctly.

Or follow these steps:

Step 1.
Check if you have a ProPlus or Professional plan, and install our extension for Chrome from the Chrome Web Store before using the Email Tracker.


If you have not yet installed the extension, please follow our guide on "How to install signature in Gmail using MySignature Chrome extension?" for more details about the installation process.

Step 2.
Once you have installed the web extension in your Chrome, find its icon on the top right corner and turn on the Track emails option.


Step 3.
To check the opens and clicks on your emails, send a few messages to your recipients. After that, open your Sent folder in Gmail and check the opens and clicks of your email by clicking tracker icons on the left-hand side of each message.


Note: There are several Tracking icons (indicators) in Gmail:


In the case of threads:

  • If the last message in the thread is incoming, we show a thread icon and notification that all analytics in threads;

  • If the last message was sent without tracking, we show a gray icon that the email was sent without analytics;

  • If the last letter is sent without tracking, we show icon status related to the last message in the thread.
